Today’s female presenters and performers: Lady Gaga with her golden dove brooch. Jennifer Lopez with her Latina shout out. Senator Amy Klobuchar and her commendable true grit opening speech. Trailblazing firefighter Andrea Hall lead the nation in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Then there was supreme stand-out, youth poet laureatte, 22 year old Amanda Gorman. She is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history, an award-winning writer, and cum laude sociology graduate of Harvard University. She has written for the New York Times and has two books published with Penguin Random House. WOW! A great nod to a limitless future for our children.

America as a nation is most definitely in capable hands in the loving embrace and nurturing gaze of these incredible circle of women of all ages. What a boon this is for us all around the world as well. May this tribe continue to flourish and grow.
