midyear visions & vistas

Another month has come and gone in this year, 2026 - what and where has it brought us so far?

Challenged as we are to look past all the noise and drama that has been parked right up our face - wonder | wander | women are opting for the long view, beyond the currents of chaos and strife. Towards the BIG picture - to where we can find succor, support and sustenance.

In the language of numbers, 6 carries the vibration of Venus - the force of unconditional love, harmony, beauty, and healing. On 6/6, this energy doubles, creating one of the most open portals of the year for heart activation, releasing old wounds, and aligning with abundance. This energy is available to us for six whole days.

June is significant as it marks the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Catholicism - including Pride Month, Indigenous History celebrations and Father's Day.

June is the sixth month of the year in both the Julian and Gregorian calendars. In the north it is the start of summer and when we celebrate the summer solstice - the longest day of the year. In the south it is the beginning of winter and when winter solstice is celebrated.

Juno, in the Roman pantheon, was the chief goddess and female counterpart of Jupiter, similar to the Greeks' Hera and Zeus. Given her role of protector of women and children, this powerful queen of the gods was also considered the fierce protector and special counselor of the state and a guardian angel warning in times of danger.

It is heritage month for Filipinos, Italians, Portuguese, and Indigenous Peoples. We celebrate D-Day and Flag Day, as well as World Environment, Fathers, and Pride Days. It is also wedding season, time to travel and explore. Nature, wildlife and the great outdoors beckon us to come out and play!

Smudge yourself in sweetgrass and sage. Trust what you know with courage and clarity - let confusion and chaos blow far away into the ether. We are all still here - together, diverse, connected.

This June, let our aims be: more collaboration, less competition, more sunsets, less screentime, more enjoying, les performing. Lean into the warm embrace of a growing Earth - the warmth of sunshine, the relief of moonshine.

Make hay and be well, folks!
