stormy holiday blues

For the Christmas holidays our sad local state of affairs in this island backwater we grew up in had more to do with no PLDT internet service than the local Typhoon Vinta

You can try calling all their hotlines as a guaranteed exercise in futility. Nothing ever works well with this quasi utility.

Here is a list of our petty grievances:

No more storm signal in Negros Island but expect rains and high winds due to amihan winds.

Coast Guard, LTO, LTFRB have restricted inter-island boat and bus trips despite the holiday passenger rush. In fairness most tend to overload their allowed capacity.

Although CENECO expects no brownout this Christmas, Talisay City gets countless power interruptions anyway.

Lastly - winner winner, chicken dinner! No PLDT Internet - we are now on our fifth day without it.

W O W ! Island living - always an adventure!
