snowstorms in London!

We woke up this morning to a pale, icy garden. Everything looked cold, wet, and a bit ugly even for a Tuesday morning.

But there was worse weather to come!

It was snowing most of the morning, but this afternoon London was hit with a very fast, very heavy blizzard that rushed in on a crest of Siberian winds.

The storm paused to dump a few inches of snow on the city, disrupting traffic and transit lines, and then rushed out again, leaving a winter white coat on everything.

The rolling grey clouds drew away, leaving bright sunshine to sparkle off the newly fallen snow.

So those of us who didn't have to commute through the difficult weather got to sit at the window, enjoying the sunshine through the glass and sipping hot chocolate, basking in our winter wonderland.

Happy snow day!
