Angelica Berrie celebrates Easter focused on local art and heritage.

We dedicate this post to the women who surround and sustain us. In our lives, our families, our communities. Throughout history and from every walk of life.

Women of our family + dad.

Our special shout out goes to Amanda Nguyen, Rise CEO and 2019 Nobel Prize nominee. This brave young woman has chosen to raise her voice in a world where the law has a gender and that gender isn't female. She is a definite and much needed game changer.

Rising way above her personal experience, although brutally traumatic and devastating, is an all too common for all too long sad and sorry tale. Kudos to her for giving this issue voice. Amanda created a lasting legacy for anyone to share this empowering solution.

Along with other women throughout history, Amanda has amplified women's voices to honor the past, inform the present, and inspire the future for all of humanity.

Rise is grounded in the belief that the voices of ordinary citizens matter, regardless of their background or age. This social movement blueprint revolutionizes how laws are created by organizing and empowering citizens to pen their own rights into existence.

Whether you are looking to learn more about the women’s movement around the world, or just interested in good storytelling, there is a lot of good literature available today.

Here are some UN Women recommendations for us all. Feel free to add to the list and grow our compilation - adding your voice to ours.

It's about time women everywhere are heard by all in every part of the world.
