winter weather watch

Since relocating to the East Coast wonder | wander | women have learned to watch the weather closely.

Living in a four season location can be a real education, especially in winter when conditions can grow harsh all too soon. Best to be prepared always.

Our special place at the Colony in Edgewater is near and dear to us because there we can indulge in immersing ourselves between sky and water.

Floating in our middle world cushioned by light and the comforting sound of waves softly lapping on the shoreline.

George Washington Bridge reaches upward and across the water like the bare bones of some Jurassic monster. A comforting and familiar landmark for those of us who call either bank home.

Across the serene ribbon of the Hudson River the view is graced by the Midtown Manhattan skyline. The light changes as the sky does, from palest white to deepest black.

With beautifully brushed blushing skies from dawn til dusk. And all the city's twinkling lights vying with the star dusted sky or brilliant bright moon.

It has been a decade since we found this lovely gem and fell utterly in love with the place and its history, enough to settle in and seek sanctuary here.

As 2020 begins, marking a new decade, who knows where our twinkly toes and wandering dreams may take us. Happy trails to all!
