Inside the Graf Center, Englewood NJ |
The community holds a special place in our hearts. Englewood, New Jersey was the first place our extended family considered home here in the US when we came to visit our sister/aunt and her husband.
Russel & Angelica Berrie Center for Humanistic Care at the hospital complex |
They kept a home here for over 20 years and the Russell and Angelica Berrie Foundation donated the building that currently houses the integrative medicine wing at Englewood Health.
Eventually taking it to the Department of Health's Traditional Medicine department as well as the Cancer Institute were we had a monthly clinic that provided complementary and alternative medicine [CAM] to patients, staff and caregivers.
As defined by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at the National Institutes of Health, integrative medicine “combines mainstream medical therapies and CAM therapies for which there is some high-quality scientific evidence of safety and effectiveness.”
Integrative medicine chooses and combines the most advanced, scientifically validated therapies from both conventional and CAM systems. Providing holistic, supportive and non-intrusive health options to its recipients and users.
The Graf Center is a beautiful and serene urban venue that offers many of these services and options in house as well as to the public. It is especially beneficial with the local cancer support community.
Although the programs are primarily designed to foster recovery and support from illness, they also serve those looking to make positive lifestyle changes in physical, mental or social well-being.
Shop their reasonably priced sessions cocooned within a high end spa atmosphere - it's the ideal place to nurture and pamper yourself .
