Today more than ever we seek individual and personal avenues to express our creativity in any number of ways.

With modern tools and techniques increasingly available to us all more of us can find and develop our own means of creative self expression.

Even those who cannot draw or spare the time for it now have a creative outlet in the slew of coloring books for grown ups that are all the rage nowadays. These coloring books have topped best seller lists, selling millions of copies.

Whether lacking the talent, skill or training no one needs to be frustrated or unfulfilled any longer. Whatever the interest or topic there's sure to be a coloring book to serve you.

Thus are a growing number of consumers finding their Zen moments and inner bliss in coloring away to their heart's content.

Coloring has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and stimulate the senses - a much added plus for our growing number of retiring boomers for sure.

"Some time spent with the simple task of adding color to the page and creating something beautiful really seems to appeal to people. There’s also the nostalgia factor. Coloring in seems to help people think about a time when life was simpler and more carefree." ~ Johanna Basford

It’s never too late to be coloring outside the lines. Watch out for next week’s wonder | wander | world blog where we will be featuring our own coloring projects and some fun colorer's groups you may wish to join.

Until then, happy coloring adventures to one and all!
