The new moon is a Dark Moon - it honors the divine shadow within. Our feminine energy and fount of wisdom - the seat of our ancient ways of being among Nature.

This first New Moon of 2025 falls right before Imbolc - the festival of new life, rebirth and renewal. When the nature goddess Brigid, bestows her woven cross - a symbol of hope and renewal. We celebrate the return of light and usher in the arrival of spring.
2025 is the Year of the Wood Snake. In Oriental astrology the Snake is a symbol of intelligence, mystery, and renewal. In 2025 the Wood Snake will bring new opportunities for growth and change, renewal, regeneration, and positive transformation as people slither into new beginnings.

It is time to shed toxic character traits in our personality. Shedding the ego, letting go of the past, letting go of anger, letting go of love lost. It is the year where growth - personal and macro, internal and external - can be manifested.
