cosmic delights

wonder | wander | women kick off our birthday celebrations - starting the month of July and ending in September. Because our birth needs so much more than just one day of celebration each year.

As the year shifts from winter and spring into summer and fall - so too does our perspective on what has transpired so far. Birthdays are benchmarks that mark our progress throughout life and lifetimes.

sacred reciprocity

How we do anything is how we do everything. In the flow and cycle of life - all is interconnected. Give and take, ebb and flow, high and low. An infinite loop of reciprocal exchange.

Yet all too often we no longer remember this - much less prioritize it in our lives. Like all universal laws though - ignorance of the law does not exempt us from it.

It takes incredibly little to keep the balance or shift the energy to get back on track. Often it's as simple a disrupting or distracting oneself. Walk in nature, bake a cake, take a bracing shower.

the power of a beautiful question

The poetry of David Whyte captures the human experience of longing, soul searching and the drive towards meaning making. It powerfully directs us back to the often muffled inner voice which is such a potent guide when we allow the space to listen. Sweet balm for our battered souls.

wonder | wander | women value the benefits of carving out time in our lives to go on regular retreats. Purposefully disengage and seclude from the material and mundane. Retire to some serene sanctuary for self renewal.

For the past three years our annual pilgrimages were interrupted. It was concerning to risk travel or exposing ourselves outside our bubble of safety during these pandemic years. Home based retreats are the preferred option for now.

September eclipses & Autumn equinox

September marks several dates of import that impact us on a variety of levels - cosmic, global, national, local and personal - stirring us to the core.

On September 12 and 13 a partial solar eclipse occurred - the center of the moon's shadow missed the earth, partly obscuring our view of the sun.
