Happy Holidays!
Some friends in the more suburban reaches of Greater London invited us for a glorious Christmas weekend. We spent three days in the company of dear friends and revelled in eating, drinking, playing 'auntie' to our friends' children, and enjoying time with people we love but don't seem to see often enough.

banquets in Bacolod
Coming back to the homestead means spending time with family and friends whom we dearly missed, relaxing and recalibrating for our more hectic lives abroad.
It also means food. All our favourite, native food, that we crave and dream about when we're in our adopted countries and away from Filipino kitchens.

belated birthday celebrations in NYC
For my [very belated] birthday celebration my sister and I chose dinner
and a show in New York City.
Our early dinner or merienda cena
was at Épicerie Boulud - Chef
Daniel Boulud’s eat-in and take-out market on Manhattan’s Upper West Side at
Broadway and 64th Street. Since it was a glorious day, we changed our indoor reservations and
opted for an outdoor table under their sidewalk parasols.
